# Wanwan An agile fighter blessed with the power of the Oriental Tiger Spirit, Wanwan is a spirited young warrior grappling with duty and self-discovery as she ventures beyond her sheltered origins to find her own path. ## Origins Decades prior, an abandoned stillborn child lay abandoned in remote mountains. The Spirit of the Agile Tiger, seeking a worthy successor, encountered the lifeless infant and chose to bestow its power upon her, granting the child new life. This divine intervention marked Wanwan with distinctive facial markings and a tiger's tail—physical manifestations of her newfound heritage. A passing Tang Clan master discovered the blessed child and adopted her, naming her Tang Wanwan and raising her as his own. Raised among the mountain peaks, Wanwan developed into an exuberant and talkative child, as though compensating for the life she never lived before her resurrection. Her adopted father's sanctuary became her playground, and her tail swayed freely as she explored the forests surrounding her home. Often, she would fire arrows skyward, dreaming of distant horizons beyond her isolated realm. Yet each arrow inevitably returned to earth, a gentle reminder of the barriers containing her world—though her indomitable spirit never dimmed for long. ## Meeting Yu Zhong Wanwan's solitude ended when a gravely wounded stranger collapsed within the mountains. The man, identifying himself as Yu Zhong, gradually recovered under her care. Though he answered few of her relentless questions, his cryptic accounts of the outside world captivated her imagination and intensified her yearning for adventure. When Yu Zhong eventually departed years later, he left Wanwan a mysterious Dragon Orb—a cold artifact that seemed incapable of retaining warmth—promising it would one day reunite them. Her father's sudden return forced an immediate departure from the mountains under unclear circumstances. Their flight led them to Floral Falls, a mechanically-concealed sanctuary sheltering those escaping worldly turmoil. There, Wanwan formed a deep friendship with Yin, a kindhearted youth her age, and together they eagerly consumed stories of the Cadia Riverlands' unfolding events. ## The Black Dragon's Resurgence When rumors of the Black Dragon's reincarnation spread across the region, Wanwan's unease intensified upon recognizing Yu Zhong's involvement. The Dragon Orb suddenly warmed—a signal she could not ignore. Despite her father and Yin's concerns, she pursued the artifact's guidance toward the Dragon Altar, unknowingly serving as a crucial instrument in Yu Zhong's design to merge with the Black Dragon's power and defeat the Evil God Lieh. As Yu Zhong departed with his newfound strength, Wanwan confronted the weight of her unwitting role and the fundamental questions it raised about identity, manipulation, and purpose. Through a night of solitary contemplation, she arrived at her own resolution: regardless of her status as an Oriental Fighter or her destined role in protecting the Cadia Riverlands, she remained Tang Wanwan—mistress of her own choices. Armed with this conviction, she departed the Dragon Altar. As she passed through the mountain gate, she drew her crossbow and fired an arrow skyward. This time, it soared beyond the peaks and into the endless sky—no longer a symbol of futile longing, but a declaration of intent.
